On a U-100 scale, 1.00 mL equals 100 units, 0.50 mL equals 50 units, and 0.10 mL equals 10 units. The unit number describes liquid volume on that scale; it does not describe the mass of a compound.
U-100 units = mL × 100mL = U-100 units ÷ 100Capacity still matters
A 0.3 mL, 0.5 mL, and 1.0 mL U-100 syringe use the same 100-units-per-milliliter relationship, but their maximum capacities are 30, 50, and 100 units respectively. VialPilot flags a calculated draw that exceeds the selected capacity.
Check the package and printed scale
Confirm that the device is actually labeled U-100 and confirm its capacity. Needle gauge and needle length do not change the volume calculation, but a different concentration scale would.
