How U-100 units relate to milliliters
U-100 is a volume scale: 100 units equals 1.00 mL. This relationship is fixed, but the amount of compound in each unit depends on the concentration in the vial.

Why units are not milligrams
U-100 units describe liquid volume. Milligrams and micrograms describe mass. Connecting the two requires the vial concentration, which depends on the amount in the vial and the total liquid volume.
